Taxes and fees were $5.60 total. Spending 2.5 days in Athens, 3 days in Naxos, 3 days in Santorini, and 2 days in Amsterdam before flying AMS-PHL-RDU on AA in J. Taxes and fees were like $60/pp. Flights between the islands were cheap. As for hotels, getting anything on points was difficult. Dec 16, 2023 · 5. Monolithos. Kamari is the most family-friendly beach town, but Monolithos (a few kilometers north of Kamari) is the most kid-friendly beach with shallow water and the nicest sand – unlike other beaches, you can make sandcastles here. Very quiet with only a handful of hotels and restaurants. Jun 11, 2023 · First, here’s the island of Santorini. As you can see, it forms a sort of backwards “C” that curves around the caldera (the water, which is actually a sunken volcano), and faces the tiny island of Thirasia. Oia is at the northern tip of the “C”. You might also like: A Travel Bucket List for Your 30s. Dec 12, 2023 · Experience the romantic feeling of Santorini. Enjoy the views and the sunsets. If you come to Santorini in the winter, YOU CANNOT: Go swimming, as the sea is cold and the open swimming pools will all be closed. Rely on public transport to take you around as routes are limited. Get a sunburn you will be proud of. priuspower91 • 1 min. ago. I would do Milos for just beaches or Crete for more diversity, easier to drive around, great beaches, and cheap delicious food. 5 nights will be short, but enough time to spend 3 nights near Chania and 2 nights east of Heraklion before catching the ferry in Heraklion to get to Santorini. We didn't see the sun actually hit the water, but got a beautiful sky and peace and quiet. You can walk down the street a couple blocks and have no one around. They all go there because someone said it has the best view of the sunset. To be honest its all an amazing view in Oia. Me and my girl will be in Santorini for 4 days and then in Mykonos. Can anyone let me know good bars/clubs to party that we shouldn't miss. We dont have expensive budget. So anything mid tier should be fine. Also is there a way to get some lightweight party stuff to have some fun if you catch my drift. Cheers This ferry was the worst boat ride I’ve ever taken in my entire life. On our trip to Crete from Santorini, an average ferry takes 6 hours, and costs around $20 euros but this advertises 2 hours and $64 euros. While that may seem great, this ferry is VERY LATE. We booked it at 4PM, and it arrived at 6:15PM. If it’s something you feel you absolutely have to experience, I’d say maybe spend 1-2 nights there max. In my opinion, it’s not worth the money and it’s kind of overrated. I’d recommend Crete, if you’re open to going to a different island. It’s much cheaper & there’s so much more to do, especially if you have a week to travel. I’ve been to Paros, Santorini, Folegandros and Sifnos. All Really beautiful and worth visiting!! wandatierney. • 1 yr. ago. My favorite Greek Island is Mykonos. I love the laid-back vibe of the island, the beautiful beaches and the warm people. The locals are friendly and always happy to help out. llMcU1.
